Ginger Pickle
Ingredients
Ginger (sliced lengthwise ½ inch pieces) – ¼ kg
Green chilly – 5
Chili powder – 2 table spoons
Turmeric powder – ½ tablespoon
Fenugreek powder – 1 teaspoon
Asafetida powder – ½ tea spoon
Salt – 1 table spoon
Oil – 3 table spoons
Vinegar – 50 ml
Method of preparation:
Fry sliced ginger and green chilly in oil. Add turmeric powder to it. After it got fried, remove from fire. After removing from fire, add chilly powder and salt and mix well. When the mixture gets cooled add fenugreek powder and asafetida powder. Add vinegar to it. Mix well and pour to jars.
Home made Ginger-Garlic Paste Recipe
Ingredients
Garlic – 2 bunches
Ginger – 1 big piece
Sunflower oil – 3 teaspoons
Vinegar – 2 teaspoons
Salt – as needed
Turmeric – a pinch
Method of preparation:
Cut ginger and garlic into small pieces. Grind it in mixer grinder together with all ingredients (grind all ingredients together). Ginger garlic paste is ready. Keep in refrigerator.
Home made Ginger Paste Recipe
Ingredients
Ginger – 1 big piece
Sunflower oil – 1 table spoon
Vinegar – 1 teaspoon
Salt – as needed
Turmeric – a pinch
Method of preparation:
Cut ginger into small pieces. Grind it in mixer grinder together with all ingredients (grind all ingredients together). Ready to serve. Keep in refrigerator.
Ginger Candy Recipe
Ingredients
Ginger – 100 gram
Sugar – 100 gram
Method of preparation:
Cut ginger into thin round pieces add half cup of water and bring to boil. Boil and keep in simmer for 30 – 40 mins. Remove from fire when it is well cooked. Remove half of the water (you can make ginger tea with this excess water). Keep half of the water in cooked ginger. Now add sugar to it. Cook this mixture. Stir continuously till the water gets dried up. Do not let the mixture to stick in the pan. Stir well and make the ginger well dried (without water). Ginger candy is ready.
Ginger Ale Recipe
Ingredients
Ginger (chopped) – 1 cup
Water – 3 cups
Sugar – 1 cup
Club soda – 1 cup
Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
Method of preparation:
Boil 2 cups of water in a pan and add the chopped ginger. Maintain medium flame; later keep in simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from stove and keep aside for 20 minutes (this is ginger water). Collect the liquid by using a mesh strainer. Ginger residue is to be discarded. Now boil water in a separate pan and dissolve sugar in it (this is sugar solution). Keep it separate. Ginger ale can be prepared by mixing the above preparations. 1 full glass of ginger ale is made by mixing half cup of ginger water, quarter cup of sugar solution and half cup of club soda. Add few drops of lemon juice. Delicious home made ginger ale is ready.
Ginger Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
Onion (chopped) – ½ cup
Garlic – 1 clove, minced
Ginger – 1 big piece, minced
Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
Soy sauce – 4 table spoon
Sugar – ¼ teaspoon
Vinegar – ¼ teaspoon
Method of preparation:
Blend all the ingredients in a blender. Blend it till it gets the smoothness of sauce.
Ginger Soup Recipe
Ingredients
Ginger – 1 big piece
Garlic – 2 cloves
Cabbage (grated) – ½ cup
Carrot (grated) – ½ cup
White Vinegar – 1 teaspoon
Corn flour (or arrowroot flour) – 1 tea spoon
Capsicum – 3 table spoons (Chopped)
Coriander leaves – 1 bunch
Spring onion- chopped ¼ cup
Soya sauce – 1 table spoon
Green chili sauce – 1 tea spoon
Oil – 1 table spoon
Salt – as per taste
Method of preparation:
Heat oil and fry ginger. Add garlic to it and fry. After that add the grated vegetables and capsicum and fry. Put salt while frying. Pour water and boil. Then add coriander leaves, soya sauce, green chilly sauce, vinegar and salt. When these ingredients come to boil add the corn flour paste (corn flour mixed in water). Finally add the chopped spring onion. Soup is ready.
Ginger Drink Recipe
Ingredients
Lemon – 1
Ginger – 4 table spoons (crushed ginger)
Sugar – 2 teaspoon
Mint – few leaves
Method of preparation:
Boil water and put ginger in it. Boil for 10 minutes. Remove from fire and add mint leaves. Allow the mixture to come to a moderate temperature (do not let it cool). Add lemon juice and sugar. Still and have at lukewarm temperature. Ginger drink is an excellent remedy for fever.
Ginger Tea Recipe
Ingredients
Ginger – 4 table spoons (crushed ginger)
Sugar – 2 teaspoon
Tea leaves – quarter teaspoon
Method of preparation:
Boil water, putting ginger in it. Let ginger get extracted into the boiling water. Boil for 10 minutes. Add tea leaves to it and boil for 3 minutes. Remove from fire and add sugar. Ginger tea is ready.
Ginger Syrup Recipe
Ingredients
Ginger – ½ cup (chopped)
Sugar – 1 cup
Water – 1 ½ cup
Black peppercorn (do not grind) – 2 tea spoons
Method of preparation:
Boil ginger, sugar and peppercorns in water in medium heat. Keep in simmer and stir for few minutes. Cook in low flame for 30 minutes. Remove from stove and allow it to cool. Using a sieve strain the liquid out and discard the residue. Ready to serve. Keep in refrigerator.
