Gluten Free Biscuits
I just made the best gluten free biscuits and wanted to share the recipe with everyone. For some reason I have had a craving all week for biscuits. While I was shopping I picked up Maple Grove Farm's all natural gluten free all purpose baking mix. Biscuits for Sunday breakfast!!!!
I went to prepare my biscuits and was having a conversation with my daughters. My youngest daughter had breakfast on Saturday with her friends and told us she had cinnamon rolls. My older daughter was saying I don't want gluten free biscuits. I had an idea; I will make regular biscuits and cinnamon biscuits. I made the biscuits using the recipe for biscuits on the back of the box of the Maple Grove Farms all-purpose baking mix. I used melted butter as my shortening. I put them on my cookie stone, the consistency was more liquidity than in solid form. I made half of the biscuits plain and on the other half, I made an indention in the biscuits, spooned a little melted butter and a cinnamon sugar mixture on top. In the oven they go and I hoped for the best. They baked in a cookie like form.
Yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think this has been my favorite gluten free find so far. Not only did I love them, both of my daughters and husband loved them. The biscuits would make a nice treat for any gluten free adult or gluten free child. I think I will make them for my next social gathering! What a treat, enjoy!
