Delicious Gluten Free Kids Recipes
Most parents of gluten free kids have hard times finding gluten free kids recipes mostly for baked foods that taste good. Eating gluten free does indeed taste a bit different. Some kids have harder times transitioning to eating gluten free than others. The trick is to find gluten free substitutions that are delicious and your kid will not notice the difference.
Try different gluten free kids recipes for bread, cookies, muffins and other baked foods that taste great so that your gluten-free, or gluten to be free kid enjoys eating and is happy.
Most gluten free kids recipes for cooked foods are not hard to make and your kids will not notice the difference. Most kids do like to eat the following gluten free home prepared meals:
- grilled chicken (previously marinated in salt, pepper, olive oil and lemon juice
- baked chicken with vegetables
- grass-fed grilled hamburger patties
- baked beans
- scrambled eggs
Some parents may have harder times finding gluten free kids recipes, it's all trial and error. My daughter loves the snicker doodle cookies featured below, my son is not too fond of them, but both of my kids love the banana blueberry muffins. See recipes below.
Gluten Free Snickerdoodle Cookies
This delicious gluten-free recipe makes about 36 snickerdoodle cookies
- 2 1/2 cups blanched almond flour
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 arrowroot powder
- 6 tablespoon grape seed oil
- 1/2 agave nectar
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
Ground cinnamon top topping
Sugar (if desired)
In a large bowl, combine arrowroot powder, baking soda, sea salt and almond flour.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the grape seed oil, agave nectar and vanilla extract. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until thoroughly mixed.
Refrigerate the dough for one to two hours.
Form the dough into balls, then coat with cinnamon,place on baking sheet.
Bake for 7 to 10 minutes
The cinnamon and sugar can be combined into a mixture and the balls coated with a cinnamon/sugar mixture.
Gluten Free Banana Blueberry Muffins Recipe
This gluten free recipe makes 12 banana blueberry muffins
- 3 Cups blanched almond flour
-1/4 teaspoon sea salt
-1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
-2 tablespoon grapeseed oil
-3 large eggs
-2 cups (4 to 5) mashed very ripe bananas
-1 cup frozen blueberries
Preheat the oven to 350 F. Line 12 muffin cups with paper liners.
In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, salt, and baking soda.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the grapeseed oil and eggs. Stir the wet ingredients into the almond flour mixture until thoroughly combined.
Stir the bananas into the batter, then add the blueberries. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin cups.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until the muffin tops are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean. Let the muffins cool in the pan for 30 minutes, then serve.
