Andrea Berton wins 2012 award

Andrea Berton, chef of restaurant Trussardi alla Scala in Milano, has won the title of best Italian restaurant 2012 from Golosario, the guide book of Paolo Massobrio to "the good things in Italy".

Golosario 2012 provides in more than 1,000 pages precious information about wines, specialty shops, and farms in Italy.

Andrea Berton has especially prepared a new dish for the award ceremony, "panettone with caramelized olives, with pumpkin and marron glacés ice cream, and "prosciutto crudo" ham.

Golosaria, the exhibition on culture and taste organized by Club Papillon, will take place in Milano from 5 to 7 November, in the Convention Center of Hotel Melià, via Masaccio 19 (MM Amendola).

At the very center of the event the tastings offered by more than 100 firms coming from all over Italy and the enoteca with the best 100 Italian wines especially chosen by Fabio Scarpitti.

The lounge area will host tasting booths with dishes from the Lombard tradition.

Every day will be marked by special events aimed at inspecting and understanding Italian territory and tradition: 4 cooking shows “good use of leftovers in the milanese tradition”, “seasonal cooking”, “Sunday dish we are lookin forward to” and “pizza lab”.
