A Rose Recipe: Gram's Mac N Meat

Made by Grams and loved by all

There are several stories accompanying this recipe. One includes how my mom put in a cup of pepper to spite my grandpa (who ate every bite of it and swore it was the best batch ever). Many of my family members claim that there is no limit to the amount of pepper you can put into this, as long as it is accompanied by the equal amount of salt.

So Good, I made it for lunch!

The only direction is the way forward

Step 1: 1 lb ground beef (if you are healthy, switch out for ground turkey, it tastes the same with ¾ less calories!) cooked and drained

¼ onion diced and cooked with ground beef
1 tbls chopped garlic cooked with ground beef
Step 2: 1 lb macaroni noodles- boiled separate and then added to cooked and drained beef
Step 3: add the following to macaroni and beef
1 can tomato paste
2 cans diced tomatoes (not drained!)
1 tbls Italian seasoning
1 tsp season salt
2 tsp black pepper
½ cup water
Bring ingredients to a boil then remove from heat. Serve immediately
 I like to serve this with romaine cheese on top but its great by itself
 If you want to add a vegetable, open a can of corn, drain, and add to step 2
