Grilled Bacon Hamburger Recipe
Flavor Inside the Burger
If you are still searching for a way to make that plain old hamburger the best hamburger in town, look no further. If you are a bacon fan, I'm sure you love bacon burgers. This bacon burger is just a little different. The bacon is on the inside and that is what makes it so sensational.
Ingredients
3 pounds lean ground beef
1/2 pound bacon, chopped very fine or coarse ground
1 onion, minced
1 tablespoon Montreal steak seasoning
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Make sure the bacon is chopped very fine. Cover and refrigerate for at least three hours before making the hamburger patties.
Divide the meat mixture into 12 equal portions and form into patties. If you have a large biscuit cutter, these make excellent forms for the patties. Put the meat inside the cutter and use a flat bottom glass to press the meat into the mold.
Grill the hamburgers until medium to medium well over a mesquite fire.
Melt Pepper Jack cheese, or your favorite cheese on top.
Serve with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions or deep-fried onion rings, sauteed mushrooms or your favorite toppings.
Recipe Tips
Mix up the ground beef, form into patties and freeze individually.
Mayonnaise mixed with your favorite BBQ sauce is a great sauce for these burgers.
Spice it up a bit with a little grilled jalapeno slices.
Serve with my famous Homemade Baked Beans.
