Guacamole is Love in My House
I love guacamole as long as it is fresh. I love to make guacamole and I love fresh vegetables put the two together and you have a match made in heaven. I love to serve up guacamole for parties or even just for a great snack or light lunch. Guacamole is the perfect accompaniment for any corn chip.
Everyone loves to see food step outside the normal bowl service. I love love to use different items to serve my food in it just makes such a nice whimsical statement about my food and the setting in general. I love to bring a level of fun and some times sophistication to my food.
I love to entertain and any time is the perfect time to me. It may be a week night and you may be tired from the long day but try to put that dip out of the store bought bowl into an elegant wine glass and see what the reaction is. There is just some thing about putting food in different containers that changes the state of mind about the meal itself. I love the idea of lifting the mood with dishes, uncommon serving items and lighting. Some simple steps to bring a simple meal into a relaxing, enjoyable mood. To many times pampering ourselves takes a back burner. Try this idea even if you get fast food put it on a serving platter or decorative plate you might be surprised at the reaction.

Cut Avocado into cubes with a sharp knife with out going through the skin
Using a spoon scoop out the Avocado into a bowl
Using a fork smash the Avocado to the consistency you like
Add your ingredients together
Season to taste
Refrigerate in an air tight container until you are ready to use
Choose a nice decorative container, wine glass, small bowl, serving platter, Margarita glass or any thing that you think you might like to serve in. Add Guacamole and then layer chips around the edge. If you are not planning on eating all the chips or if you are not going to eat the chips right away then you should serve the chips in a separate container.
In my house this does not last long! Enjoy.
A Few Tips
Storing your Guacamole can help you to keep it longer. I love to make enough Guacamole that I will have left over Guacamole for the family the next day as well. One of the best ways I have found to store mine so it will keep longer is to put it in a plastic zip lock baggie. That way it will stay nice and fresh for the next day. In my house Guacamole only lasts for two days that's if I make a double batch, I have never had a batch last longer then two days if you know what I'm saying.
To store your onion with out stinking up your fridge is a big task. The best way I have found is to store my onion in double baggies. Put your onion next to a box of backing soda with the top tore off. Now your fridge will stay nice and fresh smelling.
