Halloween Cupcake Easy Decorating Ideas
If you’re short on time, let’s look at some Halloween easy cupcake decorating ideas, for the busy mom on the go! Cupcakes are one of the most popular decorated dessert items, particularly this time of year! Kids and adults alike love cupcakes. The versatile cupcake can be served either plain, or all gussied up for the season.
I don’t know about you, but when I think of Halloween monsters, I think of vampires. A vampire cupcake is easy, too – use a white buttercream frosting, then poke holes in the frosting with a bamboo skewer to look like puncture wounds. Use a trail of red decorating gel for a little dribble of blood, and you’re set!
Frost the cupcake any color you like, then decorate the top of the frosting with a spiderweb piped with brown decorating gel. Super easy, and adorable! If you have a little more time, you can add a tiny spider to the web with a bit of piped frosting or decorating gel, and a Mini M&M or other small round candy for the body. Or use a plastic toy spider, if you have some handy.
Ghost cupcakes are the easiest! Just use white frosting, piped from a bag to make a sort of pile. Then add two black dots for eyes – either with black frosting, or with some small dark candies. If you want to be a little more ambitious, you can use white fondant draped over a marshmallow to create a three dimensional ghost atop the cupcake. Adorable!
Black Cat Cupcake
Frost the cupcake with chocolate frosting, then use round red candies for eyes (Red Hots would work, or red M&Ms) and black licorice for whiskers. Really easy, and very cute!
