Two Ingredients That's All

This recipe is one of the easiest recipes for chicken that you'll ever find, and you only need two ingredients. The chicken baked in this sauce comes out full of flavor and is very juicy. You can use chicken thighs, legs, breasts or a whole chicken cut up.

Cook Time

Prep time: 10 min
Cook time: 45 min
Ready in: 55 min
Yields: Serves 3-5 people
Two Ingredients - chicken thighs & Honey Garlic Sauce
Two Ingredients - chicken thighs & Honey Garlic Sauce

Ingredients

For the following recipe I have used a package of eight chicken thighs.

Store brand Honey Garlic Sauce. If you prefer to, VH Honey Garlic Sauce works just as well for this recipe. I've used the VH brand, but find that the store brand is cheaper by almost two dollars.

Preparing your chicken

  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Rinse the chicken in cold water and pat dry.
  • Place the chicken in an oven safe dish.
  • Shake the Honey Garlic sauce and pour over the chicken.
  • Bake for twenty minutes and then turn the chicken over.
  • Continue to bake for a total another twenty five minutes or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 160 - 165.

Suggestions For Side Dishes

  • I find that rice is the best side dish to serve with this chicken. It can be on the side or you can serve it as I do by placing the chicken on a bed of rice.
  • Steamed broccoli, green beans, carrots or any vegetable goes very nicely with this dish.
  • Side salad and you have a meal.
  • Fried rice and a vegetable stir fry go well with honey garlic chicken as well.

This one made me hungry and it's still morning! What a great, easy recipe with simple instructions for preparation. I can't wait to try this one out. We love dinners that are served on a bed of rice.

I read this 4 years ago! It still looks great! I wonder if just putting regular honey and garlic would have the same effect as the honey garlic sauce? I love cooking with chicken thighs--my favorite part of the chicken! Great recipe!

Sharon, That sounds good. I'll have to try the sauce that way.

Well, I am not one to measure anything, okay. But I mixed some honey, garlic powder, brown sugar and a little water and basted the chicken with it. It was yummy!

Funny that earlier this morning, and know I am reading this hub, I took a package of chicken thighs out of the freezer for dinner. I don't have a honey garlic sauce but I do have both separate ingredients. Gonna try this - yummm! I think I'll make some roasted potatoes with it too. Thanks Susan!

albertsj, I'll have to try the honey with soy sauce. I suppose I could add garlic to it as well. Thanks for telling me this. Hope you enjoy this with the honey garlic sauce.

I actually once made something very similar to this once. The only difference was that I used honey with soy sauce. My mouth is watering from just staring at the pics. I'm making this easy recipe, tomorrow.

This is a fine dish. Quick to make and with ingredients easily available, anywhere. Though I would not get the sauce probably in my local stores too, I can improvise this recipe easily. Voted up interesting.

THis is great - looks like I could quickly prepare a delicious main dish when I'm in a hurry. I love ginger and garlic - and I bet an Asian salad with that ginger dressing would be sweet too! I make that a lot:) kids approve and I know they will eat this too!

I love honey garlic anything. I can just taste that chicken in my mouth, with a fork of broccoli served up as well. Yummy, lip smacking good.
