Benihana was discovered by Rocky Aoki, in 1964. Mr. Aoki opened his first Benihana steakhouse, on West 56th Street in Manhattan.

The entertaining steakhouse now has locations throughout the United States, Latin America, and Caribbean.

Benihana is one of the enjoyable establishment in which the chefs are allowed to play with the food, acting as culinary acrobats. Seated around a flat steel grill, customers watch chefs sharpen their knives, toss them in the air, as Children and adults watch in amazement.

Great! Now, I am starving! I am kind of worried about all the spattering on those grills. Are you at a 'safer' distance kids-wise than it seems like from the pictures? That might add to the excitement, but I get a little neurotic when I bring children (which seems to be a great idea otherwise judging from this cutie at the top of your article).

Still starving! Despite the danger ....
