How to Cook Pork Adobo (My own Version)
How to cook adobo?.... Every Filipino has it's own version or style in cooking adobo. It could be a mix of pork and chicken. Or just simply pork or chicken. Anyways, adobo is originally came from Spain. Were hundred years ago Spanish lead the country Philippines.
Adobo is a viand that can be cook on any time of the day like for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Or even on big occasions. You usually serve it with warm rice. It is the most popular and common meal of Filipinos.
- pork liempo (the belly part ) 1/2 kilo
- water 1cup
- soy sauce 3/4 cup
- vinegar 1/2 cup
- onions 2 pcs.
- garlic 2 cloves
- sugar 1tsp.
- iodized salt to taste
- black pepper
After you prepare all the ingredients. Mix the pork, water, soy sauce, vinegar, onions and garlic on a casserole. Some other used their clean hand to mix the ingredients. Because it's the best way to mix it well. Then leave it for about 10-15minutes. After that, place the casserole on a stove with medium fire. Let it simmer for about 15-20minutes. Put 1tsp. of sugar, mix it. Let it simmer again. After a few minutes the liquid turn sticky because of the sugar. Then sprinkle some black pepper and salt to taste.
Now it's done!... You may serve it with rice.
