How to Make Easy Turkey Stuffing

How to Make Easy Turkey Stuffing

Stuffing a turkey is a moderately easy task that can add more flavor to your Thanksgiving meal.   You can start with a basic stuffing and then add some of your favorite extras.

This recipe is for a 10-12 pound turkey.

1 loaf of dry or stale bread

1 finely minced onion

2 stalks of finely chopped celery

Butter

Sage

1 cup of chicken broth

Salt

Pepper

Cut the bread into 1-inch cubes.   2) Mince onion and dice celery.   3) Heat chicken stock and butter together, add sage to the mixture.  4) Place dried bread cubes in a large bowl.  Add ¼ of the liquid mixture, mix and then add the rest of the ingredients and mix well   5) Make sort of a ball shape and stuff the turkey.

One of my favorite additions is some dried cranberry.

I always was afraid it wouldn't get cooked inside the raw bird.I love the centerpiece ideas with the pumpkin.

Sky,

I'll let my wife cook the turkey. I'll just eat it. You got hungry for the holidays!

Sky321: Sounds yummie: As an amateur chef of sorts, I also love adding sausage meat and some fresh mushrooms to mine and to make it extra fancy maybe some finely chopped chestnuts.

Brother Dave.
