How to Make Your Own Crunchwrap Supreme

Updated on July 21, 2013

My husband and I, like many other families, have taco night once a week. I buy a taco kit from the store and cut up some fixings on the side, and we enjoy some pretty great tacos. My husband has always been one to experiment with different foods, trying to make them better. Last month he came up with a pretty good idea that tastes great and is super easy to make. He uses all of the ingredients from a taco kit and makes his own crunch wrap supreme, just like the ones he loves from Taco Bell. Here’s how you can make your own crunch wrap supreme at home.

Ingredients Needed:

1 Ortega Grande Hard and Soft Taco Dinner Kit

2 Tbsp Sour Cream

1 Tbsp Shredded Cheddar Cheese

½ Cup Diced Tomatoes

1 Tsp Taco Bell Hot Sauce (You can purchase this at your local grocery store near the Mexican food)

¼ Cup Diced Green Onions

1 Tbsp Cheese Sauce (Found in your Ortega Taco Kit)

2 Tortillas (Found in your Ortega Taco Kit)

1 Hard Shell Taco (Found in your Ortega Taco Kit)

1 Cup Cooked Ground Beef with Taco Seasoning Added

Thoroughly cook 1lb ground beef, drain, add taco seasoning and set aside. (The remainder of the beef can be used for tacos, nachos, or more crunch wrap supremes).

Dice green onions, and tomatoes, set aside.

Spray down a small frying pan with non-stick spray until evenly covered.

Place tortillas in the frying pan and fry until slightly brown and crispy.

Break hard shell taco in half.

Place your first tortilla on a plate and layer with  ½ ground beef, ½ of the shredded cheese, ½ green onions, ½ tomatoes, and ½ of the hot sauce and sour cream.

Place the hard shell taco halves on top so evenly covering the shape of the tortilla.

Layer with remaining ground beef, tomatoes, cheese sauce, and sour cream.

Place tortilla on top and layer with remaining shredded cheese, green onions, and hot sauce.

Place in a 350F oven to melt the cheese.

And enjoy!
