How to make Cream Cheese Wontons multiple ways

Basic Cream Cheese Wonton with instructions

1. Place a few Wonton wrappers on a sheet pan

  • Don't use too many as they tend to dry out very quickly.
  • Cover the remaining wonton wrappers with a damp paper towel to keep them from drying out

2. Place a small amount of cold cream cheese on the center of the wonton

3. Wet your finger with water and run the water along 2 connecting sides

4. Fold the wonton across forming a triangle, being careful to completely seal the edges

5. Do this for the remaining wontons that you will do in this batch. (about 7 or 8)

6. Fry the wonton at 375 degrees for about 1.5 minutes or until the wonton is slightly brown on all sides. (you may need to flip the wonton with a fork or with a wire skimmer/strainer (sometimes called a spider skimmer)

7. Place the fried wonton on a pan with paper towels to drain and cool.

  • Small amount of finely diced Jalapenos

Sweet Jalapeno Jelly Cream Cheese Wontons

  • Wonton wrappers
  • Small dab of cold cream cheese (very important)
  • Small amount Sweet Jalapeno Jelly

Pepperoni Cream Cheese Wontons

  • Wonton wrappers
  • Small dab of cold cream cheese (very important)
  • Small amount of finely diced pepperoni
