Recipe for Baking the PERFECT Fruit Cobbler

Here's a fast and easy recipe for a fruit cobbler. My grandchildren love cherries, so that's what I ususally make! Enjoy!!

Fruit Cobbler

  • 1 1/2 Cups Pioneer Baking Mix
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Cup Milk (skim is fine)
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 Stick REAL BUTTER
  • 1 Can Fruit Pie Filling

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 square baking pan. In large bowl, combine baking mix, sugar, milk and vanilla. Meanwhile, melt the butter and place in the bottom of your baking pan. Pour batter into the center of the pan (on top of the melted butter) and DO NOT MIX. Drop spoonfuls of the fruit filling over the top of the batter. Bake 1 hour or until nicely brown on top. The butter and sugar cook to form a delicious crunchy topping on the cobbler.

This makes a wonderful dessert - and kids will adore it! Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
