Jello Shots Recipe - Where to Find Great Jello Shot Recipes, Shot Glasses and Jello Shot Injectors

Basic Vodka Jello Shot Recipe

A basic jello shot recipe usually consists of:

  • a package of jello dissolved in 1 cup of boiling water
  • one cup of vodka (to substitute the 1 cup of cold water)

Many have found however that this recipe might be a little too strong so you can alter it a little bit to

  • a package of jello dissolved in 1 cup of boiling water
  • 3/4 cup of vodka
  • 1/4 cup of cold water

How to Make:

Measure one cup of boiling water into a large glass measuring cup (this will make pouring into the cups easier than trying to do it from a pot). Dissolve 1 package of Jello (3 oz size) and stir gently for about 2 minutes. Then add 3/4 cup of Vodka and 1/4 cup of cold water and stir well again.

Let it cool for a bit and then pour the liquid into the individual jello shot cups and chill until firm (takes about 4 hours). This basic recipe will make about 15 Jello shots.

While this basic recipe is tried and true, at times it might also lack a bit of flavor.

Luckily there are now tons of great jello shot recipes using all sorts of flavored liquors and alcohol that complement the many different flavors of Jello.

There are also new creative ways to serve Jello shots. While using small paper and plastic cups is still popular, there are also Jello Injectors, Jello served on Orange slice wedges and other creative ideas listed below.
