Chuck Roast

There are many different cuts of roast beef. My favorite is the chuck. It comes from the neck and shoulder and to me it is the one that has the best flavor. Not only that, it is also one of the less expensive cuts of beef.

The best way to cook this cut of beef is by slow cooking. I usually cook it on the top of the stove or in a crock pot.

This type of roast lends itself nicely to be used in many different types of recipes. I have included some of my families favorite recipes for your eating enjoyment. Hope you like them.

More beef is consumed on Memorial Day than any other day of the year. The Fourth of July and Labor Day typically tie for second place.

Beef is one of the most important dietary sources of iron. To obtain the same amount of iron found in a 3-ounce serving of beef, you’d have to eat at least 3 cups of raw spinach.
