Light Cheescake Brownies - Reduced Fat Version
LOWER FAT: Chocolate Cheesecake Brownies
You can still enjoy the all-time favorite Chocolate Cheesecake Brownies with this lightened up recipe version, using egg whites and applesauce!
You will need:
1pkg. (21 oz.) Family Style Chewy Fudge Style Brownie Mix
1/2 cup of apple sauce
6 egg whites
12 oz. low fat cream cheese or Neufchatel cream cheese
1/2 cup of sugar
2 Tbs. all purpose flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tsp. canola oil
1 jar (7oz.) Marshmallow Fluff
3 Tbs of chocolate sprinkles
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Line 9" square pan with foil to overhang sides by 2";coat with cooking spray. On medium speed, beat brownie mix, applesauce,4egg whites and 1/4 cup water, 1 minute. Pour into pan. Bake 15 minutes.
Beat 8oz. cream cheese, remaining egg whites, sugar, flour and vanilla. Pour over brownies; to return to oven. Bake for 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.Cool. Melt chocolate,stir in oil. Beat remaining cream cheese and 1Tbs of water. Beat in chocolate. Beat in Fluff until smooth.Spread on brownies; chill. Top with sprinkles.
This is a super scrumptious delight and no-one would ever guess you cut the calories in half.
