Mega-Italiano - an Italian inspired recipe

Other day at home we put together a dish with a lot of ingredients that were laying around our storage room. The tomato, pasta and basil, along with other ingredients gave it a nice italian flavour. We found it to be really good, so here it is the recipe!

  • qb fusilli
  • 5 potatoes
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 cup corn
  • qb salt
  • qb pepper
  • 2 tomato or tomato pulp
  • 1 onion
  • 5 garlic
  • qb olive oil
  • qb basil
  • qb rosemary
  • qb cheese or ham - optional
Prep time: 5 min
Cook time: 45 min
Ready in: 50 min

So let´s start!

Pre heat the oven to 220 degrees celcius

Get some potatoes and garlic

Peel the potatoes and the garlic

Put the potatoes and garlic on a dish, with rosemary, salt and olive oil

Put the dish in the oven for 25 minutes

Put a pan on the stove with olive oil

Get some onions, garlic and tomato pulp (you can make your own or use canned tomato)

Peel the onions and the garlic

Put the onions and the garlic on the pan with olive oil for 15 minutes
put another pan on the stove and boil some water with salt added
get some corn, carrots and fusilli

Wash the corn and peel the carrots
boil the corn, carrots and fusilli on the pan with boiling water and salt for 12 minutes

add the tomato pulp to the pan with olive oil, onions and garlic, and also some salt, pepper and basil for more 5 minutes

when the pasta, carrots and corn are cooked, strain the water from them
put everything together on the other pan and mix for more 3 minutes
now take the dish out of the oven and mix everything with the potatoes

put again in the oven for more 15 minutes. you can also put some CHEESE or ham now

Its done!!!
