Michigan Chocolate Fondue Restaurants
Fondue originated in Switzerland, where cheese was melted and mixed with wine and seasonings in a pot, then diners gathered around with bits of bread speared on long forks, dipped the bread into the gooey brew and ate it. Chocolate fondue is a newer addition to fondue cuisine, and gained popularity in the 20th century. If you are in Michigan and crave chocolate fondue, there are several restaurants that serve it.

The Melting Pot (meltingpot.com) is a popular fondue restaurant chain with locations in Ann Arbor, Troy, Novi and Grand Rapids. Their chocolate fondue is a decadent experience, with a variety of dippers and chocolate mixtures to try. Restaurant guests can dip fresh fruits like bananas and strawberries or baked goods like cheese cake, pound cake, brownies and Rice Krispies treats. The Melting Pot offers chocolate fondue creations like milk chocolate and crunchy peanut butter, dark and white chocolate, dark chocolate with marshmallow cream and Oreo cookie bits, milk chocolate with caramel and candied pecans, white chocolate with bananas and cinnamon, and milk chocolate with marshmallow cream and graham crackers.
