The Dangers of processed Milk

Milk from a cow must have a bad rap today, because there's a great deal of talk about how bad cow milk is for your health. Those who've been vegetarian, and vegan for many years have practiced the drinking of non-dairy milk products such as soy milk, almond milk, and nut derivatives, and they even have coconut milk today.

Who would have thought all these years that something that's been sold to consumers world wide such as dairy milk, or cheese which come from cows as well, would someday turn out to be harmful to a humans health.

I never could of dreamed of such a thing, and ever since I were young my mom feed us pasteurized whole cow milk. I also discovered that skim milk from the cow is bad for your digestive system as well.


The dangers of raw animal milk is far worse then pasteurized

So why is this?

Well it turns out that it's not such a mystery after all, the only thing is that, Doctors never suggested to our families in America, and many other families worldwide, that the drinking of animal milk is harmful, especially when processed & pasteurized.

The question to be asked is why again? Why, Why, Why?

The stores will simply keep serving us the obvious poisons if we continue to aimlessly purchase, and follow their faulty practices, in the laboratory and food processing plants or factories. (Cooking of milk to high temperatures destroys everything natural in it, no matter if it kills bacteria, your losing essential nutrients as well, plus they add hormones, GMO's and loads more toxic chemicals to pasteurized milk.)

It all boils down to simple chemistry, and bodily PH levels. Milk actually gives off a acid known as lactic acid and once we drink it, then our stomachs begin to digest it. After the milk is broken down into lesser molecules, during cellular absorption in the stomach & it gets metabolized, one of the end products is lactic acid (Which is said to be good by raw milk advocates as a sort of probiotic when unpasteurized, but I stay away from it all myself). This simply adds to the stomach acid you already have, that originally is there to break down the foods, and substances you ingest, using gastric acid (composed of HCl & ph of 1.5-3.0).

According to the FDA, raw milk is harmful to us as well, and due to pathogens, or also known as bacteria such as E-coli and Listeria. Either way to be safer then sorry, its most certainly better to avoid drinking any animal milk products period, because when humans get to handling things they can add anything the like, and also neglect to take care of their livestock as well. (A great deal of contraversy surrounds both raw milk's safety & pasturised milk's safety due to many reasons, and mostly because of the market value placed on its selling and mass consumption today)

This is not to say that you cannot get pathogens from other food products, its also said that how such foods, are handled makes all the difference in terms of contamination, food poisoning. (Example: Cows raised in much greener pasteurs as opposed to crowded, confined, harmfully toxic spaces. Being feed organic grass, rather then grains, corn, or soy derivatives)

We all know these very well

Medical & Scientific fact of the day:

Your liver needs to be maintained at a level of PH balance, because its responsible for the metabolizing of toxins, which help to rid the body of harmful substances producing urea or also known as urine.

- So be wise and eat food that lean more towards the Alkaline area, this can be done by juicing your greens with fruits that aren't acidic, but rather high in antioxidants. (Try all sorts of organically grown berries for the highest antioxidant, which as Alkaline as well.)


Acid facts

The reason lactic acid is dangerous to our system is because it adds to all the acids we already have currently in our system, by ingesting of many other harmful food products. The list of food products and their PH balance on the PH scale can demonstrate this very truth.

The human body cannot fight off the bad bacteria in your blood stream while in such a high acidic level of PH . In order for the immune system to create the effective antibodies to fight off foreign particles you'll need to fix that. Fighting off diseases such as cancer, diabetes all types, tuberculosis, bronchitis, and many more naturally occurring diseases is tough but doable. Ones body must have a PH balance, and a more alkaline consistency in order to do so.

The acceptable blood PH level in human beings is between approximately 7.365-7.45 on the PH scale according to wikipedia, meaning that if your blood's PH falls to far below that scale or rises to far above it, you're in for a rude awakening. As for it dropping below 7.365 into the acidic ranges, your body can be headed for potential exposure to fatal disease, or even sudden death.

This high level of acidity in the blood is also known as homeostatic imbalance. Many Americans are currently experiencing this daily by eating processed foods, eventually leading them to many health conditions, including that of cancer, diabetes, and many other immune system deficiencies. So if your blood's PH falls outside the acceptable ranges, vital proteins get denatured then digested, and death may also occur as well. (Free radical damage is what occurs from consuming harmful processed foods loaded with toxins, and especially after cooking them, frying them is the worst)


Note:

Cancer cells go dormant at a PH level of above 7.4, and they die at 8.5, hence your cells will thrive by increased oxygenation in your body from higher alkalinity in healthier foods. This doesn't mean you should go out, and drink alkaline solutions, or something. The body must maintain good PH balance, but the more health conscious you become, the less acidity levels you will ingest. You can test yourself, or go to a doctor to find out your bloods PH levels.


Truth about water, and potential acidity from chemical filtering

What many of us are experiencing today, the internal aches & pains


  • Gastrointestinal disease aka Gastritis, and many other lesser illnesses which all have lead to tumors, lesions, stomach ulcers, migraine headaches, and eventually cancer of many area's of the body.
  • This all due to poor health, in maintaining PH balance for most people, & lets not talk about the weight issues of obesity, in another hub maybe.
  • A thing known as freeradicals is also, a disease causing agent, and is the end result from the body losing oxygen (oxidation), and or the cells.
  • This oxidation process occurs when we accept more acidic food, or substances, food rots or spoils, and by drinking waters that have positively charged ions also known as oxidizing agents or oxygen removers in them (dead water).
  • We need to find negative water to drink in replace of regular tap water, or bottled water, so that the damaging effects of freeradical's can't occur any longer.
  • Use of cow milk or other dairy products can only further damage us by adding more acidic levels, thus suffocating our chances to fight diseases which thrive in high acidic environments; even after trying to drink a great deal of water, we originally may have thought was neutralizing its harmful effects.
  • Now add the issue of low or high sugar levels, and you have diabetes on approach, if not born with it as an infant due to hereditary conditions mostly due to mothers lack of knowledge about such things.

How to fight back!

Well luckily, we are armed to the teeth with a powerful fighting agent, to arrive our bodies at a remedy for being utterly too acidic, and this is something truly interesting indeed.

Remember at the start of the hub there was that discussion about vegetarians, and vegans. This isn't a hub that's trying to convert you into one, it's a sure fire way to fight inevitable harm your doing to yourself, by being misinformed.

"Leafy greens", and all forms of green vegetables, are actually on the side of the alkaline scale of the PH charts, and this is the very reason why the eating of them renders many people out of harms way of most diseases, as was spoken about earlier in this hub. To get a better idea of it all, visit wikipedia and there's a chart their to reference from as well.

The truth is out there for us all to find, simply google it, and you'll see many differing perspectives on this issue, but the one sure thing to it all is that PH is the number one dominant factor to why even milk is seen as a danger towards our health as human beings.

It looks like the Food and Drug Administrations, Department of agriculture, and even the medical and drug Pharmaceutical Industries, have all been behind a major cover-up, by allowing such harmful food products to cause injury, and bodily harm to us, by not informing us of such in all ways possible.

Yes there's a food pyramid, but no it's definitely not accurate, because it appears to favor the consumption of processed food, dairy products, and grains without no indication that even white bread or wheat bread is also acidic in its chemical producing form.

Schools should be teaching us these things about health, because I surely didn't learn such things in school, as to what all our food products truly have in them, and the end resultant of such. We pretty much, just learned about what over eating in general does, the biology of our cells, human anatomy, basic metabolism of the human body, and we learned about ph balance but not how everyday processed food products, all have harmful acidic side effects in our stomach.

Wow.... that explains a lot for me. I suffer from digestive problems (I think IBS) almost everyday, and I LOVE drinking my milk. I have always been a big milk drinker. What about raw cows milk? I seem to have less problems drinkinh this.

I have been able to control allergies by cutting back on acidic foods, increasing my consumption of alkaline foods like raw fruits and veggies, and drinking at least one cup of high-quality, organic green tea every day. You can read more in a hub I wrote a bout it.

As for milk, not only does it add lactic acid to the body, it generates mucous which exacerbates the allergies, so I have backed way off from eating dairy products.

A lot of good reasons here to let go of drinking cow's milk. Now I will say I love goat's milk but don't drink it often enough to know how my body reacts to it (too expensive).

Yes indeed this was shocking news to me as well, I just discovered such things as our bodies ph balance being, thrown off a great deal by lactic acids, and the other underlining facts.

I think many people have long ago discovered the harmful affects of drinking processed pasteurized milks, but I never heard of the entire bodies ph being affected, I heard of the hormonal effects, from cow hormones, and the injected chemical steroids many farmers have used, and the issues with lactose intolerance.

These are some serious issues, and its imperative that we all try to get to the bottom of it all, I will continue my research on it all, my wife has helped lead me to see this truth, about the PH, and other health issues we are all facing.

I guess all we can do is try our best to find out more, ingest less harmful products, and wish for the best, oh and inform each other as much as possible. I love that you are helping people to consciously look at what they are putting in their bodies because it is the food that is killing us by design! One of the best way to combat this is to start juicing and diet change. Juicing fruits detox and cleanses the body and juicing veggies keeps the balance and places the natural enzymes back into the stomach. Some can consume dairy if their blood type calls for it but it should be a raw organic form of dairy because pasteurization is also bad for your heart. It also ruins the milk due to the high heating process. I myself cannot consume the dairy and I was raised as a vegetarian but I will indulge in Salmon as my fat even though I have practice being a vegan as well. The jist of the point is you can never go wrong when you eat things that were given by the Most High which are foods that are alive and have vibration to them. Foods that were grown from the Sun, Water, and the air and I know that can be a challenge given that those natural resources are being tanted with along with everything else on earth. A good product for cell aid to fight free radicals and emf damge is CELL FOOD, it replenishes and Dr. Ehret mucusless diet is a great way to learn about food combination to place the body in a homeostasis state. @ Levertis Steele, raw milk is said to be far better than processed, but I heard its outlawed in the United States. I also discovered that raw goats milk is more favored by many health guru's, but I'm not sure of the accuracy of such.

There is a great deal to rethink about our overall health, because living blind sided doesn't feel good at all.

I don't know about RAW goat's milk, but goat's milk in general is supposed to be closer to human milk than cow's milk, or at least that's what I've heard. It definitely tastes better.

But ask yourself, why do most mammals wean their young from breast milk if they still need it into adulthood? We humans appear to be the only ones who continue to drink it.

I think becoming more aware of ones environment both inner and outer is awesome today, and so I have hope for a better future.

Humans appear to be followers and so we will do as our parents have shown us, until we say no, or find our own way I guess. This seems to be the consistent trend that I've seen and bear witness too thus far anyhow. I'm gonna give a few of your hubs a try now, thanks for sharing with me.

The only milk that is decent...Almond milk, rice milk or soy milk. I'm just glad to hear someone else knows this. Keep that junk away from these precious babies (unless it's "mommy milk")

Yeah processed milk isn't good, all this time since I were a kid at home being told to drink it, I felt it wasn't good, so I haven't drunk milk for over 10 years in the US Navy, until about 3 years ago, when I moved back to New York City.

Luckily I ran into my wife, and we got married, she's really health conscious and so I followed suit, thank god for that or I would still be in harms way of consuming harmful processed foods.

I've been slowly moving to organic and free range foods over the last year, also due to my wife, who is vegetarian and very conscious of the quality of food and ingredients therein. I do most of the cooking and i take more time picking out higher quality ingredients even if they're most expensive. I can taste and feel the glorious difference!

One theory floating around about the disappearance of the Viking settlement of Vinland, (North America) is that instead of the usual raiding and razing - that the Vikings tried to be friendly with the natives by give milk products such as cheese. Well - the tribe got really sick from being lactose intolerant and thought the Vikings were trying to kill them - and wiped out the Vikings in retaliation.

I would love it if you could give me some references on the effects of cow's milk on blood acidity levels. I have read this before, and since I live in a country that consider milk the best drink available, I need powerful citings to convince my friends and family otherwise. I, myself do not ingest dairy on recommendations of a guy called Timothy Feriss, but have no further scientific facts to back-up my choise.

Hi there @MrFYS, since you commented it helped me to do much added research into it all, and I decided to update the article to provide such information you asked for.

What I discovered was kind of the issue we are all faced with, int this modern day era of the food revolution. The FDA appears to be in an information war with the organic raw food advocates it seems when it comes to the whole safety issues sorrounding both animal raw milk, and pasteurised milk.

So I had an incline that this all was going on behind the scenes and all, and ever since I came up with this very article, and its also the reason why I choose not to drink animal milk products at all. I prefer to drink non-dairy alternatives like Almond milk, or coconut milk.

The nutrition in anything naturally occurring will be maintained if its taken care of in terms of food handling, growing it in certain organic conditions, and if its uncooked.

The FDA is right, and the food advocates are right, and so I stand on the neutral zone, but know that neither raw milk, nor pasteurized is safe for human consumption.

The effects of pasteurised milk on the human body is long term, the effects of per say catching E-coli or worse is overnight.

I hope the links I've provided here can help you out a bit more, and if you can research all about organic Almond milk products, its far better then Soy based, because Soy is processed as well.

I have BIG issues with people, specifically medical professionals who constantly promote the use of milk as the "only" form of calcium, when in fact, the vegetable sources of calcium are so much more readily absorbed in our bodies! So I was compelled to write all that I found about it, and with intense research it helped me learn even more.
