My Own Slimming Version of the Double Layer Pumpkin Pie

Here's a sliming and healthy way to prepare a delicious holiday dessert. I tried this recipe with the substitutes myself and have found that the flavor is just as wonderful, as if I had used the standard ingredients that will also give my body the standard weight gain, so here's a way to keep all that delicious flavor with a lot less calories.

Double Layer Pumpkin Pie Dieter's Style

Ingredients

1 package cream cheese 1/3 less fat softened

1 tub sugar free cool whip

1 cup and one tbsp fat free milk

2 small envelopes of stevia or one table spoon stevia

1 (15 oz) can pumpkin puree

1 package vanilla sugar free pudding

1 teaspoon cinamin

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

1 gram cracker pie crust with reduce fat, you can also use a small casserole dish to make it even more calorie free. That is something I do and it tastes just as wonderful.

For the first layer you mix the soften cream cheese with a table spoon of milk and the stevia and then you stir in half a tub of the sugar free cool whip. Make sure it is thoroughly mixed and the spread on pie crust or casserole dish for the bottom layer.

take the vanilla pudding mix it with a cup non fat milk and add the pumpkin, add spices and mix thoroughly, spread on top of bottom layer. Refrigerate for four hours or overnight. enjoy.

Here is a recipe that will let you enjoy the holidays without having to worry about your weight. If your diabetic it is great way to enjoy a wonderful dessert without the worry. Stevia is very easy to obtain. One can either buy it at a health food supplier or at any supermarket. Stevia is not artificial and yet it is wonderfully calorie free.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for stopping by, it is a great recipe and if you try to get healthy ingredients, like at whole foods, where you can by 365 brand canned pumpkin, you can also find other quality ingredients there, as well as stevia.

Now that's what I call a realistic graphic - I can almost bite into that slice of pumpkin pie. Scrumptious looking photo and scrumptious healthful recipe. Thank you, IW.

Thanks for stopping by drbj, I think the graphic is courtesy of Kraft foods. That's where I got the original recipe, what I did, since I'm always on a diet was alter it slightly. I know there are others out there like me so I figured I'd pass on the information. If you go to Kraft foods they even have a video on how to make it. Great holiday desert, in fact I needed something for Thanks Giving and that's how I found this recipe.

Thanks for stopping by GmaGoldie. It seems we all are fighting with the scale, mine often wins, unfortunately. It is very delicious and a lot less calories than traditional dessert. I hope you enjoy it for the 4th of July weekend.
