Thirteen To Dinner

Well thirteen to dinner was a lot of fun! It was lucky for all of us! We had couples and singles. But what YOU want to know is what we had!!

On The Menu:

Fried cheese with two kinds of dipping sauce.....tomato and creamy ranch

Deviled eggs and olives

Burgers and huge kosher hot dogs on the grill. (What no chiles...nope, not this time!) We did have all the other fixings though!

Chopped salad (romaine, cabbage, cauliflower) with a homemade creamy bacon dressing.

Bowtie Pasta Salad with oil and vinegar and lovely HUGE chunks of cheddar cheese and garden cherry tomatoes

Elbow macaroni salad with olives, onions, tomatoes, and a touch of lemon and olive oil

Fresh watermelon

For dessert a chocolate chocolate cake

AND

Trifle with fresh strawberries, bananas, whipped cream, and pound cake....sooo pretty (sorry I did not take a picture and it is GONE now.)

Drinks were very simple decaf ice tea, lemonade and water. (Last time we had people over we had NM Chocolate wine....but were out this time. sorry!)

And the best news was we only did the grilling. Everyone brought something!!

This is a group of Progressive Dinner Pals and we are use to doing our meals this way.

Next month we are going to theme the dinner Greek!! Got any ideas for me?

All I am armed with is a cook book from a Greek Church, my childhood memories of a huge Greek family that lived next door, Greek dining over the years, plus a bit of dabbling in Greek cooking over the years! My favorite were the smelts but I don't think I will try that for next month.

Have a good weekend.
