Old Fashioned Chocolate Cobbler
Fast And Easy Chocolate Cobbler
What is more delicious and satisfying than a decadent gooey chocolate dessert like old fashioned chocolate cobbler. When you hear the word cobbler what usually comes to mind is a sweet fruity dessert like my grandmother used to make. But after one bite of this chocolate pudding cake like dessert you'll never go back to that plain old cobbler recipe again.
3/4 Cup butter
2 Cups self - raising flour
1 1/2 Cups sugar
3 TBS. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 Cup milk
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 Cups sugar
1/2 Cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3 Cups boiling water
First preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Next pour the melted butter into a 9X13 pan.
Then in large mixing bowl mix together flour, 1 1/2 cups sugar and 3 tbs. cocoa, vanilla and milk.
Pour chocolate cobbler mix over the melted butter in the 9X13 pan.
Next mix together the 1/2 cup cocoa powder and 2 cups sugar. Pour this over the chocolate cobbler.
Then pour the 3 cups boiling water over the top and bake at 350 degrees for approx. 30 minutes until the cobbler is set. Serve warm and topped with vanilla ice cream. Recipe serves 16
