Ingredients in Smoothies

If you are looking for a quick, healthy, and satisfying snack or meal, an organic smoothie is the perfect choice. Most people are very surprised by how easy it is to make an incredibly delicious smoothie. By using only organic fruit and vegetables, your organic smoothie will be the best choice when it comes to your health.

While organic produce may cost a small amount more than nonorganic produce, it is completely worth it. Organic foods are grown without chemicals or pesticides, which according to researchers from Duke University and the NIH (National Institute of Health), have already been linked to diabetes and Parkinson's disease.

According to Organic.org, "Buying organic food promotes a less toxic environment for all living things. With only 0.5 percent of crop and pasture land in organic, according to USDA that leaves 99.5 percent of farm acres in the U.S. at risk of exposure to noxious agricultural chemicals."

Below are 4 tried and tested organic smoothie recipes that you are sure to love and that will leave you feeling great, with so much energy you'll keep making them! That is what I have experienced. Nutritious ingredients that are pulverized and ingested must be absorbed by our bodies more efficiently, because the immediate rewards are felt and cannot be denied.

Organic Smoothie Ingredients

Today, organic foods are widely available at most grocery stores. More and more people are looking for ways to be healthier as information becomes available about the long-term effects of eating nonorganic foods. It is common to find organic fruits such as strawberries, blueberries, and rasberries; berries are very beneficial to our health and easily compliment smoothies. Their natural sweetness also masks the taste of vegetables that can be added to the smoothie for additional health benefits.

According to Fitsugar.com, "Bananas, along with avocados, mangos, papayas, and pineapples have been found to have the lowest pesticide residue. However, apples, cherries, grapes, nectarines, peaches, pears, raspberries, strawberries have very high pesticide residues so you might want to splurge on organic."
