Peanut Butter Bars- Fast, Easy and Delicious
This recipe is just as I have stated, fast, easy and delicious. Here is what you will need:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees, baking time approx. 20 minutes
Mix these items together:
½ cup margarine
½ cup shortening
¾ cup peanut butter
Then add in:
¾ cup of sugar
¾ cup of brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
Stir the above items together then add:
2 cups of flour
1 cup of mini chocolate chips
Spread these items into a 9x13 inch pan
For the topping, you can sprinkle mini m&m’s, chopped peanuts, or mini marshmallows on the top of the dough.
Place the pan into the top rack of the oven. Back for approximately 20 minutes
Once you take the pan out of the oven, try to resist stealing a piece of this delicious treat, to let it stand and cool for about 15 minutes.
These bars will feed a crowd as they are thick and chewy. Consider bringing them as an office treat or a party snack. These are fun to make and ready in a pinch.
** Note, if you are considering making these for a school snack, please check to see the policies on peanut and tree nut allergy items in your schools. ** If you are working around a peanut allergy, omit the peanut butter and peanut toppings. **
