Peanut Butter and Almond Cookies in 15 Minutes

This recipe is for an individual serving of cookies. For me that means three cookies. Any more means that I will get fat, so no thank you to cookies 4 or more. You'll need...

One packet of pre-made frozen peanut butter cookie dough. As you can see, the brand I chose was not anything fancy or gourmet. But then again I'm not a gourmandess, so I was okay with this.

A handful of almonds. For those who like specificity when it comes to measuring ingredients, at least 15 almonds, they don't have to be all whole, but at least 15 pieces. And the almonds can be any brand. I use low sodium because peanut butter is salty anyway.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees or according to baking directions on cookie dough packet. Take 3 circles of frozen cookie dough and put it on a an aluminum-lined cookie sheet or flat pan.

Push 5 almond pieces for each cookie dough circle. If you really like almonds put more. I chose 5 because I can have one almond per bite of cookie.

Place inside oven and bake for at least 15 minutes. If you like a crunchier cookie, bake for at least 20 minutes. When you take the cookies out, it lookes like the top picture above. Enjoy with a glass of milk.

Yeah, really simple and a time-saver. I'm not here to say that it will make the best tasting cookies but I sure like it. This is a quick way to have cookies that you don't normally get from a supermarket. This recipe is also very adaptable. You can use other nuts, pretzel bits, and m&m's or you can use other flavors of cookie dough in any combination. Feel free to experiment. The mistakes can always be eaten and at the very least are interesting.

Now some can say that I'm cheating with the frozen cookie dough. But my attitude is if you are pressed for time, there's no point in re-inventing the wheel.
