Recipe for Pecan, Chocolate, Cool Whip Cake
This cake is a better choice simply because you are using Cool Whip which contains less sugar and less calories than normal frosting. I recommend it to any person who dislikes that rich, sugary frosting so often used on cakes.
Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix- this can be any variety purchased at your local supermarket
Cool Whip- one container purchased at your local supermarket's frozen foods aisle
Bag of crushed pecans-
Chocolate Syrup- this can be substituted with carmel syrup or you can use both.
First follow the instructions on your cake box. Once cake is baked let cool until top is room temp. Poke holes with toothpick or any sharp straight utensil you have. Take chocolate syrup or carmel or both and drizzle across top of cake making sure you fill holes. Top with Cool Whip. Drizzle more syrup on top of Cool Whip. Sprinkle pecans across top.
