Pepsi Pot Roast - A Tasty Roast That Everyone Will Love

A Picture of Pepsi Pot Roast

This is One Pot Roast You Will Love Instantly

My wife and I bought one of the best recipe books ever, Fix-It and Forget-It Cookbook Feasting with your Slow Cooker. There are plenty of recipes for just about everything in this cookbook. My wife and I were looking for a good recipe for a roast one day and we stumbled upon a recipe for Pepsi Pot Roast.

Pepsi Pot Roast is simple to fix. You start with your roast. You can use a shoulder roast, arm roast, or rump roast. We used an arm roast the last time we made this and it was great. The meat just fell apart when you put a fork to it. That is a sign of a good roast.

Pepsi Pot Roast makes between six and eight servings. The ingredients are as follows:

  • 3 - 4 lb - Roast (I would suggest Beef Arm Roast)
  • 10 3/4oz can of Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 envelope of dry onion soup mix
  • 1 or 2 cans of Pepsi Cola
  1. Place your meat in the crock pot.
  2. Top your meat with the cream of mushroom soup and dry onion soup mix. Then pour your Pepsi over the meat.
  3. Cover with your lid and cook on high for 6 hours.

We usually stick to the recipe but we have varied on it too. For instance, we have used Coke Zero and Cherry Pepsi for the pot roast. Also, we have created the pot roast without the dry onion soup mix. No matter what you use, the results are the same. Outstanding!!

The meat so tender. Honestly, the Pepsi enhances the taste of the meat. I actually prefer using Cherry Pepsi just because it gives the meat an extra sweet and delicious taste. If you like Coca-Cola or Dr. Pepper or Root Beer, you can substitute that instead using Pepsi to make the pot roast.

The Pepsi Pot Roast makes a quick and easy meal. It takes about 5 - 10 minutes to prepare in the crock pot, then six hours on high and you have a delicious meal. I would suggest having some kind of potatoes with the meal, either mashed potatoes or baked potato. So, if you are looking for a meal that does not cost an arm and leg and prep time is minimal, Pepsi Pot Roast is right up your alley. Trust me, I think you will enjoy it, I know I do.

Looks great! If I make it, do you mind if I tell everyone I used Coke? This is Georgia!

Thanks for the comment. Yes, you can use Coca-Cola for the pot roast. As long as it is cola or root beer, you can use it.

Do you actually make the onion soup or just put the soup mix in it?

Used Cherry Dr. Pepper because that is what I had. I also used masa as a thickener for gravy. AMAZING!!! Will definitely make again. My husband is picky and he went back for seconds.
