Quick Spicy 'Better than Sex' Chocolate Ganache

Valentine's Day is fast approaching! That means that all things chocolate will take the lead on the candy market and in the hearts of most of us chocoholics. Here is a easy recipe for spicy chocolate ganache. It is one of those easy chocolate treats that can be poured, dipped and used to cover anything you can possibly think of in terms of eating.

And don't just save this for Valentine's Day!

Ganache is a really rich frosting made with melted chocolate and whipping cream, my secret is adding 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla. With cayenne pepper added this ganache takes on an exotic kick that's tantalizing to the taste buds.

The experience is enthralling especially if you like to combine something sweet and spicy in one bite! This combination can also be considered healthy if you substitute dark chocolate of about 70% or more cocoa.

Dark chocolate has antioxidants, which are plant flavonoids and anti aging properties that fight free radicals.  This is good for the body because free radicals cause damage leading to heart disease. Flavonoids assist in relaxing blood pressure because it gives the benefits of dark vegetables.

As well as being an aphrodisiac, dark chocolate eaten on a regular basis can be a treat for the heart's health. It is also good for the brain, and a bonus is that dark chocolate is recommended to help with weight control.

Ever heard the phrase "Better than sex"? This is a tag used to describe chocolate and how it affects the brain and our pleasure zones. Dark chocolate does this by increasing our endorphin production. Along with containing serotonin, an antidepressant, caffeine and theobromine and other stimulants chocolate is a really cheap over the counter substitute for other pleasure prescriptions!

So, if you have a sweet tooth but don't like the strong taste of dark chocolate but want the best possible benefits from this appetizing confection, make this ganache with half milk chocolate  and half dark chocolate. This way you get the best of both dark chocolate's health properties and the sweet luxuriant flavor of milk chocolate.

Along with dark chocolate's health benefits, cayenne pepper is known to aid in digestion. It also stimulates the metabolism helping with weight loss and weight maintenance. Cayenne pepper has been purported to help with ulcers, blood pressure, and heart health. Amazingly it has been used by herbalists to aid in the killing of cancer cells.

This recipe is easy to make! It can either be done in the microwave, in a microwave safe bowl or on the stove on you homemade double boiler (fill a small pot with water then place a heat safe bowl on top). The choice is yours! So go ahead enjoy this spicy 'better than sex' chocolate ganache for Valentine's day or any other reason. It's absolutely delicious. So enjoy!
