Quick and Easy Recipes for Appetizers
Planning your Appetizer Party
So you're planning a small get together for a few business associates. Not a problem. The best thing to do is to go with a diverse variety of appetizers.
Now, you need some that are delicious, tempting, and easy to make. After all, you don't want to spend forever getting ready. I have compiled a group of such appetizers. They're easy to make and sure to please.
Keep in mind that you need to have appetizers for meat eaters and those who are not meat eaters. Make sure you do not forget those that are on a diet.
Black Olive Big Bites
1 cup black olives, chopped
1/4 cup onions, chopped
1/4 cup green peppers, chopped
1 1/2 cup four cheese mix, shredded
1/2 cup mayonnaise
* * * * * * * * * *
Party rye bread
Mix all ingredients, except rye bread.
Spread mixture on Party rye bread and broil unil cheese is melted.
Cottage cheese bites
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup thick and chunky salsa
1/4 cup mexican cheese mix, shredded
Crackers of your choice
Mix together cottage cheese, salsa and shredded cheese.
Spread on top of crackers.
1/4 cup butter or margarine
2 pkgs frozen chopped spinach
1 tap baking powder
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 small can mushrooms, chopped
Preheat oven to 352 degrees.
Melt butter in a 9" x 13" baking dish.
Combine the rest of the ingredients, mix well.
Spoon mixture into baking dish.
Bake for 35 minutes.
Cool slightly before cutting into 1" squares.
You can also used canned spinach as long as you drain well.
Stuffed Cherry tomatoes
1 lb bacon, cooked, drained and crumbled
1/2 cup onions, chopped
1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
4 oz cream cheese, softened
30 cherry tomatoes
Combine all of the ingredients except for the tomatoes.
Hollw out tomatoes with small spoon and set aside.
Combine tomato insides with mixture and fill cherry tomatoes.
1 8 oz pkg cream cheese and chives
1 cup Parmesan and Romano cheese
1/4 cup black olives, chopped
1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
2 cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
Preheat oven to 350 degree.
Unroll crescent rolls and seperate each can into 4 rectangles.
Spread 3 tbsp of the mixture on each.
Roll up and cut into 4 equal pieces.
Bake on ungreased baking sheet for 13 - 14 minutes or until golden brown.
Mushrooms stuffed with sausgae
1/2 lb ground pork sausage
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 tsp minced onion
1 lb fresh mushrooms, stems removed.
Cook sausage, garlic and chopped mushroom stems, drain and set aside.
Blend cream cheese, minced onion and sausage mixture.
Place on baking sheet and broil for 2 to 3 minutes or until lightly browned.
Mexican corn dip
1 cup thick and chunky salsa
1 medium avocado, pitted, peeled and chopped
1 can Mexicorn
1 tbsp parsley
Mix all of the ingredients except for the tortilla chips.
Cover and place in fridge until time to serve.
Serve with tortilla chips.
