This variety can be used as side dish for snacks like idli, Dosa and vada etc.,
1. Mustard for garnishing
2. Tomatoes – ½ kg
3. Jaggery 1 cube
4. Red chilli Powder – 2 teaspoon
5. Turmeric – 1 spoon
6. A pinch of asafetida powder
7. Oil for seasoning (To add salt, spices and other ingredients to increase the flavour of a dish)
8. Salt to taste
Wash the tomatoes and cut them into pieces. Take 4 sp. Of oil and heat it and add mustard seeds. After all the mustard splutters, add the tomato pieces. Cook for five minutes. ADD Jaggery, Turmeric, chilli powder and salt. Close the vessel with a lid and cook over a low heat until the tomatoes became soft. When the mixture becomes thick, remove from fire.
