This variety can be used as side dish for snacks like idli, Dosa etc.,
1. Coconut, grated ½
2. Channa dhal 1 tablespoon
3. Mustard ½ Teaspoon
4. Green Chillies – 8
5. Urad dhal – 1 Teaspoon
6. a pinch of asafetida powder
7. Juice of 1 lemon
8. Oil for seasoning (To add salt, spices and other ingredients to increase the flavour of a dish)
9. Salt to taste
Soak the channa dal in a little water and keep aside. After 10 minutes, drain the channa dal and grind it into a smooth paste along with coconut and green chillies adding a little water. Season with fried mustard and urad dal. Add asafetida powder, salt to taste and lemon juice to taste and serve.
