Recipe (4): Banana with Honey Sauce
Many people have their stomaches in the nature of "coldness", i.e. cold drind or food makes them feel unsuitable in stomach or even diarrhea, while hot drink or food make comfortable in stomach. This is called "coldness in stomach" in Chinese medicine. Because banana is cold in nature by Chinese medicine, people with "coldness in stomach" is not supposed to eat much banana or not to eat raw banana.
The dish of "banana in honey sauce" is a Chinese dish with cooked banana. It used to be a locally traditional Chinese dish, but with development, western cooking way was introduced into it, i.e. butter, lemon juice and chocolate are used.
- 2 Banana, cut into small lumps
- 25 g Butter
- 15 g sugar, brown or white
- half lemon lemon juice
- sesame seeds,or sunflower seeds, or ground peanuts
- Chocolate sauce
- put butter in a pan, and heat it to melt
- add white sugar into the butter, stirring until the sugar all melted
- cut pealed bananas into small lumps, and put them into another pan on a slow fire, heating and frying to soft
- put the soft banana into butter/sugar sauce to coat evenly; or pour the sauce onto bananas to coat evenly
- when sugar color becomes brown, spray lemon juice on them
- set cooked bananas in a plate, spray chocolate sauce, and sesame or sunflower seeds or ground peanuts, if you like

Banana is a common fruit in daily life. In tropical areas, banana belongs to commoner group in fruit family. It is in high yield and cheap price, and so popular in public.
