Recipes for Easy Healthy Green Smoothies!

Why Smoothies?

Smoothies are a great choice to choose because they are delicious yet healthy. Instead of having that bag of chips or stack of "Pringles," have an equally as delicious smoothie drink. There are so many different recipes to choose from, whether you are a vegan, a diabetic, or lactose and tolerant, there are always options. If you like these smoothies you should really try making these other recipes for smoothies. Including everything from Diabetic smoothies to Vegan smoothies to blueberry and almond smoothies!

Kale Smoothie

This smoothie is one of my personal favorites, I love having this for breakfast because quick, easy, and delicious. It is always sure to fill me up. I just grab this and a piece of toast and I am good. It is also great as a snack for when you are craving to eat some chips or fries. It is sweet because of the pineapple but also the cucumber and the kale calms down the flavor. Make sure to blend this for a bit longer so that there are no bits of kale stuck around in there! Also to keep the vibrant green color, try to use the green grapes. I also use crushed pineapple from a can, but you can definitely just crush your own pineapple for a better taste and for a healthier drink!

  • Handful or about 1 cup (pressed down upon) of Kale
  • Half of a "Persian Cucumber" (A.K.A a short cucumber!)
  • 10 Green Grapes (A Handful)
  • Half a Banana
  • 2-3 spoonfuls of crushed pineapple (1 disk)

Mix it up!

After chopping and slicing up the banana and cucumber, just throw everything in the blender! If you are not using crushed pineapple out of a can, crush up the pineapple.

The Lush Juice

This is not so much of a smoothie, but it is so delicious I had to include it! This is pretty basic and is almost like the one above but the banana flavor is out of the mix. Banana has a very bold flavor so now it won't! To make it a little bit cool and slushy add some ice cubes! This is great for kids. I know every child that I have made smoothies and juices for love it. They call the smoothies I make juice, so cute! This one actually is a juice, though, it is really thin and so good with your regular breakfast.

  • handful of green grapes
  • 2-3 medium sized leaves of Romaine Lettuce
  • 1/3 Cucumber, peeled
  • 2-3 ice cubes

Mix it up!

Add everything into the blender and serve at once because every juice and smoothie will thicken if left out for longer periods of time.

Green on Green on Green

I love this smoothie because the kiwi just makes it so good! I don't really like kiwi as much alone but in smoothies it is just so delicious. I recommend you use coconut water, if not almond water. If you have neither or you don't like either, regular water is okay. It is not as good as the smoothie with coconut water!

  • 1 Kiwi, peeled and halved
  • 2 leaves of kale
  • 1/2 of an apple, cored
  • 1/3 cup of almond/ coconut water
  • 2 ice cubes

Mix it up!

Throw everything in the blender and enjoy!

Date Smoothie

I love this smoothie because it is just so yummy, my mom loves it! You could call it a little bit of an obsession! The orange juice calms down the strong taste of the date. Then just add some kale and banana. The greek yogurt really does make it so much better, and I love greek yogurt. Especially in smoothies, it tastes just so good.

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 4 large spoons of vanilla greek yogurt
  • 1/2 banana peeled
  • 1 date, pitted
  • 2 leaves of Kale
  • 3-4 ice cubes

Mix it up!

Throw everything in the blender and serve right away! Enjoy!

Pear Smoothie

This is a very simple and easy smoothie. The green smoothie is just so yummy. I also love to have this for breakfast. It can be thin sometimes, so I like to add a lot of ice to make it a little bit of a slush. I usually make this because it is just so cheap and easy! I have this right when I wake up for breakfast if I don't plan on having a smoothie with my breakfast.

  • handful of baby spinach
  • 1/2 pear, peeled and cored
  • 1/2 banana, peeled
  • 5 ice cubes

Mix it up!

Throw it all in a blender and mix it on up! Enjoy!

Aren't Smoothies just so good? Especially when filled with those good veggies that really make anyone healthy. After drinking one I always feel so clean and cleansed. Doing these quick and easy green smoothies really add flavor to any meal. They are great for a breakfast drink or even just a breakfast meal! So drink up and enjoy!
