Reconstructed Left-Over Chicken
My love for chicken is so strong I try many ways to prepare them, but its the whole chicken that use to have me in a loop until I started reconstructing my chicken to make other great tasting and exciting meals.
By using your left-over chicken and adding a few other ingredients you can transform that old baked left-over chicken into anything you like and you family and friends will not even know that they are eating left-over chicken, and to get you started on your reconstructing task here is my recipe foe a tasty sweet and sour chicken sandwich, I'm telling you your going to love this left-over treat.
Sweet & Sour Chicken Sandwich
Ingredients
3 tablespoons of hot sauce
1/2 cup of pure honey
1/2 cup of butter
1/2 of left-over baked chicken
6 soft kaiser rolls
Buttermilk ranch dressing
Sliced red onions
Bib lettuce
Methods
In a medium sauce pan add your hot sauce, honey and butter using a medium heat warm up these ingredients until the butter melts and the honey is dissolved reduce the heat setting to low stir and let the sauce continue to cook.
While your sauce is cooking , remove any skin from the baked chicken and then pull the chicken off the bone then place the pulled chicken in a large skillet and pour the sauce mixture over the pulled chicken and mix well , place back o to the stove to get the chicken mixture warm then get ready to make this tasty sandwich.
Making Of The Sandwich
Using your soft kaiser roll toast each roll them on the bottom bun drizzle with ranch dressing, add the bib lettuce and the red onions and top it with the pulled chicken and palce the bun on top and serve with a pickle wedge and enjoy.
