Restaurant Review: Goldie's Patio Grill

Goldie's Patio Grill located in Owasso, Oklahoma is only one of several Goldie's Grills located in Oklahoma. It is, however, one of the best! Their Angel Fire Cheeseburger brings me back time and time again! I wanted to share it with you and encourage you to take the time to try it out! You will be glad you did! They are delicious! A part of Oklahoma cuisine for almost 50 years, Goldie's will become a favorite for you too!

Goldie's Patio Grills are found in several locations throughout northeastern Oklahoma. The original location in Tulsa, Oklahoma was where I experienced my first Angel Fire Cheeseburger many, many years ago! It was in the fall of 1981. I was dating my now ex-husband and when he learned of my New Mexico heritage, he took me there for dinner. I was hooked! The Angel Fire chili pepper has a special flavor of its own. Grown in Angel Fire, New Mexico, it has a mild and distinct flavor without the heat that often accompanies green chili peppers!

We visited the South Lewis location many times over the years. We were thrilled when they opened a location in Claremore, where we lived at the time! My parents became just as loyal to the wonderful flavors offered by the grill!

Even after the birth of three children, a divorce, a remarriage and a move 100 miles east, we still make sure to stop in and have a bite whenever we are near! Tulsa happens to be one of the nearest airports to our current home, so we LOVE to use the opportunity to go to Goldie's whenever we make the trip! This particular visit was at the Owasso, Oklahoma location a few short miles from the airport.

Enough about me...the food is GREAT!! We were seated quickly and given a quiet spot to eat! The waitress, Lyndsey, was friendly and attentive. We skimmed over the menu, and chose our dinners. My husband had the chili burger and I chose, of course, the Angel Fire Cheeseburger! I am unable to choose anything else! I had a bite of his, but I remain ever faithful to the Angel Fire! His burger was topped with Chili Con Carne made with a flavorful, meaty sauce. Very delicious!

We had salads that were served fresh and crisp along with our burgers and fries. Everything was cooked to order and served in a clean and friendly environment! I have yet to visit a Goldie's that was anything but a wonderful place to have a delicious, well-cooked meal. They are each a clean and well kept business which have friendly and attentive staff.

There are several locations across northeastern Oklahoma where you can visit and try this wonderful burger as well as many other delicious entrees! Four of those locations are in Tulsa and there are 5 more across the area. Check the link provided to find a location near where you are or will be! The link has both the location, map and even individual menus for each location. I have visited at least 5 of them and they are each just as good as the others.

Prices are reasonable and their Hall of Fame Burgers are truly that....Hall of Fame worthy!! They have won several awards for their cuisine...no surprise to me! I would award them the Best Burger EVER!!

I challenge you to stop in and try it! You will be glad.....and so will your taste buds!
