5 stars from 1 rating of Homemade Rice Krispies

  • 6 cups Puffed Rice Cereal, Rice Krispy's cereal or any generic puffed rice cereal will work.
  • 3 tablespoons Butter or Margarine
  • 10 oz Mini Marshmallows

  1. Put the 3 tablespoons of butter into a big pot, and melt on low heat.
  2. Add the marshmallows in and melt on low-medium heat. The marshmallows and butter should become a creamy white thick fluid.
  3. Add in the cereal
  4. Mix until all the cereal is covered
  5. Place the mixture on wax paper and allow 5-10 minutes to cool.
  6. Cut into smaller pieces. I find that plastic baggies work just fine for storing the remainder.
