DINNER TIME.
Let's have Dinner and Closing the Bar.
Its only CURD BATH for you folks just help yourself with the plates and the bucket load of Curd rice kept on the table.
That was a rude shock to my guests,who thought they would have a 5 course dinner at my residence.
It was a party of old class mates with family that had gathered to a pot dinner many of them thought that they would be served dinner in mud pots like century old villages in south India when the lunch or dinner was served in Mud Pots.Even today the 5 Star Hotels serve Curds in Mud Pots.My wife thought that our friends understood a pot dinner and had ordered Curd Rice also known as Mosaranna.
The going was great up to drinks and my wife having noticed that no one had any package of food had made more Pakodas than required and no one seem to have bothered on a single course of CURDS RICE.
For A Party of 30 persons we need:-
1 ) 5 kgs of Rice Cooked.
2 ) 4 Liters of Curds.
3 ) 1 liter of Milk.
5 ) 2 Kg of white grapes & black grapes ( Each 1 kg ).
6 ) 500 gms of Pomegranate Seeds.
7 ) 399 gms of mixed dry fruits.
8 ) 1 kg of Apple cut in to small 1/4 inch Cubes.
9 ) Dressings as you like with as you like Vegetables.
Preparation of Curd Rice :-
Take a 20 liter SS bucket pour curds add milk and stirr well,keep adding Cooked Rice and go on turning the mix slowly with your cleaned right hand up to your elbow.As soon as the bucket is full if any Rice is still left remove some Curd Rice from the bucket and complete the remaining Rice mixed with Curds and Milk in the Bucket.
Fill the Curd Rice in plates with dressing and keep it for the guests to take.
OR
Now take a 25 inch dia SS plate and pour all the CURDS RICE in to it and add all the items remaining which are items - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 and dress up the Curds rice in the Bucket.
Put the Bucket on the table with dressing and see the hungry wolves devour the whole Bucket in 30 minutes and still wanting more.Keep the 2nd Bucket now for any 2nd serve for the guests.
