Vermicelli and Cornflakes Kheer Recipes
Vermicelli Kheer Preparation
Vermicelli Kheer or Semiya Payasam is a sweet dish which is made in every Indian household for special occasions like birthdays, weddings or other festive occasions.
1 Cup good Quality Cut Vermicelli
1/2 litre milk
1 tsp ghee
1 tsp Powdered Cardamom
Cashews and Raisins
1 pinch salt
Method of Preparation
Fry the cashews and raisins in ghee until golden brown and keep aside. Heat ghee in a Kadai and fry the Vermicelli till golden Brown. Add half the milk to the Kadai and allow the vermicelli to cook. Once done add the rest of the milk and let it simmer on medium heat until the milk starts to condense. Add sugar, salt and powdered Cardamom and keep stirring on low heat. Add the cashews and raisins and mix well. Serve hot or chilled.
Cornflakes Kheer Recipe
Cornflakes Kheer is a favourite with Children. I tasted this recipe when i visited a friends house and liked it very much. Hope you would like it too.
- Cornflakes 1 Cup
- Milk 3 Cups
- Sugar 50 grams
- Coconut Milk 1 Cup
- Cardamom Powder 1 pinch
- Cashews roasted in Ghee
Method of Preperation
Cook the Cornflakes in milk. Once done add Cardamom powder, Sugar and Coconut milk and cook for another 10 minutes. After that add the Cashews roasted in ghee to the kheer and remove from flame. Allow to cool and serve chilled.
