I really have a love for carrots so much that I always try to fine a better way to enhance that great flavor and today i want to share with you one of the ways I have done just that.
To give my carrot a really rich tasting flavor I used a little bit of Cognac along with some butter and the taste was really, really great and do not worry the Cognac will cook off so you will not be getting high or anything all your going to get its great taste and bold beautiful flavors.
Carrots With Butter & Cognac
Ingredients
12-18 young carrots, cut in to match sticks but not to thin
1 pinch of sea salt
1 pinch of ground black pepper
4 tablespoons of butter
1 teaspoons of cognac
1 pinch of sugar
1 handful of fresh chopped parsley, finely chopped
Methods
To begin
Scrape the carrots and cut into match sticks, boil in salted water until just tender. When the carrots are tender drain off the water leaving just a little water in the pan about 2 teaspoons.
Add the butter sea salt and pepper shake the pan a little bit then add the Cognac and the sugar shake the pan again then place into a serving dish sprinkle with chopped parsley and enjoy.
