Super Suppers: Dinners to Go Made Easy for Families
I am a horrible eater - in fact - if my husband didn't regularly cook dinner, I'd probably eat junk food most of my life. It's not that I'm a bad cook, because I can cook, it's just that cooking is not a priority in my life, especially since my children are adults now, grown and gone.
That's why I'm excited about my new discovery in Fremont, Ca. called "Super Suppers", owned and operated by friend Becky Carleton.
Although I had known and heard about Super Suppers, I hadn't been in touch with Becky for several years so had never visited her store. Recently though, after painting some holiday Christmas windows for her at her business, I got to check out her place. The big bonus was when my friend sent me out the door with 2 dinners, frozen and ready to pop in the oven. Lucky me!
Boy I didn't know what a treat I was in for!
Too busy to cook? Easy take-out dinners!
I would suppose there are many people like me, busy and sometimes too busy to do the right thing - like actually cook a nutritious home-cooked meal. It's not that we don't want to, but it's just plain hard sometimes to take the time to plan a menu, go to the store to get the items you need, fight the traffic to get back home and then on top of it prepare the meal. Unless you are a stay at home mom (and even then you are probably extremely busy just keeping the kids in check), you are probably alot like me, looking for the easiest way out for dinner.
In comes "Super Suppers!"
My husband and I sat down to the pre-prepared meal from Super Suppers with all the ingredients and calorie information listed on a decal on the top of the pan (good stuff to know, for sure) and all we had to do was pop our dinner in the oven and wait for it too cook. No mess, no travel time or grocery time involved.
Within a short time we had out first meal from Super Suppers which was stuffed green peppers. I am pretty picky about my stuffed green peppers so this would be interesting, I thought. After I took my first bite, I was absolutely amazed at how tasty the green peppers and the stuffing were. I really loved the meal and so did my husband. 5 stars!!
The next meal we ate the following day was the Chicken Green Chile Enchilada Casserole. Same thing - just delicious! Another 5 stars for a delicious, healthy and hassle free meal.
