"Sweet potatoe pound cake"

Ingredients:

1 cup mashed cooked sweet potatoe or pumpkin

1/2 stick soft butter

 3 cups brown sugar

3 cups unbleached flour

3 eggs

1 cup canola oil

 1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. nutmeg

1/2 tsp. mace

1/2 tsp. alspice

1/2 tsp. ground cloves

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. vanilla extract flavor

1 cup apple sauce

1 cup floured dusted raisins

1 cup pecans or walnuts pieces

1 cup can milk

Mix: sweet potatoes and sugar, butter, add 1 cup flour, 1 egg and alternate, flour and eggs until all gone.  then you salt, baking powder, baking soda, extract,  apple sauce and spices along with can milk. 

Mix ingredients well, Add: oil, pecans and raisin. spray your bundt pan or cake pan then dust with flour, pour out excess flour and pour in cake batter. Bake  at 350 degrees for about 1 hour or until done.  let cake cool before frosting.

Ingredients for frosting.

2 cups powdered sugar 1/3 stick soft butter

4 oz. cream cheese soft at room temp.

1 tsp. vanilla extract.

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup pecan or wal nut pieces.

Direction to prepare:  In a bowl:add powdered sugar , butter extract, cream cheese, gradually add milk ,while mixing with mixer until smooth and lump free.  Frost the cool cake and add nuts for show. This a very delicous cake with good tasting surprises.
