  • White sugar - 1 cup
  • Apple - 1 peeled, cored and diced
  • Pear - 1 peeled, cored and diced

How to make Thanksgiving cranberry sauce:

Wash and pick over cranberries. In a medium saucepan, boil water and sugar until the sugar dissolves. Reduce the heat to simmer, and stir in cranberries, pureed orange, apple, pear, dried fruit, pecans, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cover, and simmer for 30 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened. Taste for sweetness, and adjust with more sugar if you feel it needs to be sweeter. Keep moderate stirring until the cranberry sauce gets a thick consistency. Remove from heat, and let the sauce cool. Enjoy your Thanksgiving cranberry sauce this thanksgiving with your delicious and elaborate meal with family and friends.
