The Art Of Making A Spinach Salad
Spinach ....In my house is one of the most eaten vegetables that my family eats and it often plays an important part of our holiday tradition....It can be used in so many ways cooked or raw and it can also be the main attraction or the runner up in meal your planning.
The good thing about spinach is that it is available year round and the price is very economical and easy to use and paired with so many things soups, salads as a stuffing or all by itself ...But today I want to share with you the art of making my spinach salad along with homemade dressing.
5 cups of fresh spinach ( chilled and torn into pieces)
4 oranges ( peeled and sliced)
1 avocado (peeled and sliced)
1 medium red onion (thinly sliced)
1 tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds
A pinch of salt and white pepper
1/2 cup of vegetable oil
1/2 cup of wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of grated orange peel
1/2 teaspoon basil leaves
Dash of nutmeg
1. Combine all salad ingredients except salt and white pepper.
2. Combine all dressing ingredients; make sure you blend well.
3. Pour dressing over salad; add salt and white pepper to taste.
4. Gently toss and serve.
