The Best Casserole
Great Side Dish
This is a great side dish to prepare for your family and for family gatherings. I have found that everyone who tries this dish loves it and so I am passing it on to you..
You will need to have the following ingredients to prepare this dish.
3 12-16 ounce frozen chopped broccoli
3 12-16 ounce chopped spinach
1 Family size Can of Cream OF Mushroom Soup
1 Pound of Chedder Cheese (Sharp or Extra Sharp) Shredded
1 Large Container of French's Durkee French Fried Onions
You will need a touch of water to mix in with the soup.
Preheat your oven to 350 degree's.
Preparing the Ingredients
You will first start the dish by add the spinach and broccoli to a large pot add enough water to make sure that all the leaves and broccoli are covered. You need to boil for 5-7 minutes or until broccoli is tender. Once this is completed you will need to drain and get the excess water out of the mixture. Then you will return it to the large pot and mix the soup until it is the consistancy of gravy, Add the water until you achieve this. Then you will need a 9x13 inch casserole dish, or cake pan and add half the casserole to this and then sprinkle a layer of cheese and a layer of french's fried onions. Then add the rest of the casserole that you set aside and repeat with the onions and cheese. Then place in the oven and bake for about 20-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and melted. Once this is done you will remove the casserole and let cool for about 5 minutes. You can add more onions if you wish.
