The Best Oven Baked Chicken Fingers Ever
Here is a recipe for the best baked chicken fingers that you'll ever eat. These are baked in the oven and you might think they would taste boring but I bet you'll be surprised when you taste them.And be sure to read on below on making sauces and vegetable sticks to go with your chicken fingers. And here were going to use skinned boneless chicken thighs to make our chicken fingers with. Just buy a package of regular chicken thighs and remove the skin and bone from them. Then cut each chicken thigh into three to four pieces of chicken depending on the size of the chicken thigh.
Oven Baked Chicken Fingers Ingredients And Instructions
1. 4-6 Chicken Thighs with the skin and bones removed and cut up.
2. One Large Well Beaten Egg.
3. One Tablespoon Honey.
4. One Tablespoon Yellow Mustard.
5. Two Cups Cornflakes very Finely Crushed In Food Processor.
You'll want to pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees.
You'll want to take the skin and bones from 4-6 chicken thighs and then cut each chicken thigh up into three to four long pieces depending on how big your chicken thighs are.
In a bowl with a wire whisk you'll want to mix your honey, mustard and the egg. Be sure that the ingredients get very well mixed together.
You'll want to use your food processor to make your corn flakes into a very fine powder. Put the pureed corn flakes into a tray or bowl of their own.
I have started using the new baking paper that has tin foil on one side and parchment paper on the other side. When I make these chicken fingers I cut a piece to fit my baking pan and I put it on the pan tin foil side down.
I then put the fingers of chicken meat into the honey and mustard mixture and then I put the chicken fingers into the pureed corn flake mixture and coat them well with the cornflakes. Then you place the breaded chicken fingers onto the parchment paper on the baking pan.
Bake about 10 - 12 minutes until the chicken fingers are golden brown on the outside and done on the inside.You'll want to turn the chicken fingers over about halfway through the cooking time to make sure they get brown all over.
Below is a selection of sauces you can make to dip your chicken fingers in once they are cooked.
1. One Teaspoon Powdered Garlic.
2. One Fourth Cup Sweet Onion Very Finely Diced.
3. One Stick Margarine.
4. One Cup Water.
5. One Fourth Cup Apple Cider Vinegar.
6. One Fourth Cup White Granulated Sugar.
7. One Teaspoon Sea Salt.
8. One Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper.
9. Four Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce.
10. One Half Cup Lemon Juice.
Mix all the ingredients and cook until thick which should take about 30 minutes. You can then put your barbecue sauce after it cools into a plastic container with a lid and put it into the refrigerator. This barbecue sauce is especially good on chicken of any type.
1. One Half Cup Mayonnaise.
2. One Teaspoon Garlic Powder.
3. One Teaspoon Dried Dill.
Mix the three ingredients together well and there you have a delicious spicy mayonnaise.
Zesty Sour Cream
1. One Half Cup Sour Cream.
2. One Tablespoon Lime Zest.
3. One Tablespoon Lime Juice.
4. Two Tablespoons Fresh Finely Chopped Cilantro.
Mix all your ingredients together and there you have a delicious zesty sour cream.
1. One Half Cup Dijon Mustard.
2. Two Tablespoons Honey.
3. One Half Teaspoon Ground Cayenne Pepper.
Mix all the ingredients together well and you'll have a delicious spicy Dijon Mustard with a little bit of kick.
Vegetable Sticks Go Wonderful With Chicken Fingers
You can make delicious vegetable sticks out of celery sticks, carrot sticks, or radish sticks. Make a tray with a bowl of your favorite sauce from above in the center of the tray. Then you put chicken fingers around the bowl of sauce and around the outside of the tray goes your hand cut vegetable sticks.
1. Four Cups Shredded Crisp Fresh Cabbage.
2. One Half Cup Finely Chopped Onion.
3. One Fourth Cup Chopped Fine Green Bell Pepper.
4. One Fourth Cup Chopped Fine Red Bell Pepper.
5. One Teaspoon Ground Sea Salt.
6. One Teaspoon Celery Seed.
7. One Teaspoon Sugar.
8. One Fourth Cup White Vinegar.
9. Two Tablespoons Olive Oil.
Mix all the ingredients in a container that has a lid and put all the ingredients into the container and mix very well. Put into the refrigerator and chill overnight. This makes a very good slaw to go with chicken fingers or really any type of slaw.
Here's a wonderful recipe for cucumber slaw that has been made in the south for hundreds of years. First of all let me tell you that it has a wonderful flavor. I think it was invented to use up all those cucumbers we all seem to grow in the south.
1. Twelve Large Cucumbers Peeled And Chopped Course.
2. One Large Sweet Red Or Purple Onion Chopped Fine.
3. Four Tablespoons Evaporated Milk.
4. One Tablespoon Sugar.
5. One Fourth Cup Vinegar.
Mix all your ingredients together and put into a plastic container with lid. Be sure to chill well before you serve with any type of chicken including chicken fingers. My Grandmother Hattie Propst used to make this unusual but delicious slaw and served it with the fried chicken every Sunday in the summer time.

These coconut chicken fingers are really good and easy to make. I've made these for many years. And again I'm going to use chicken thighs to make these chicken fingers with. You'll want to buy a package of chicken thighs and remove the skin and bones. You can then cut each chicken thigh up into small strips to make your coconut chicken fingers with.
Ingredients Needed For Your Coconut Chicken Fingers
1. One Package Shake And Bake Crispy Coating Mix.
2. One Cup Flake Coconut Lightly Toasted In The Oven.
3. One Teaspoon Curry Powder.
4. One Level Teaspoon Ground Cayenne Pepper.
5. Two Well Beaten Eggs With Two Tablespoons Milk Beaten Into The Eggs.
First of all mix your shake and bake, lightly browned coconut, curry powder, and cayenne pepper in a tray or bowl.
Now put the eggs and milk into a bowl so you can dip your cut up chicken thighs into the mixture.
You'll want to dip your chicken first in the egg and milk mixture and then into the shake and bake , coconut and spice mixture.
Put the breaded chicken onto parchment paper cut to fit a large baking pan.
Bake in a 400 degree preheated oven for 10 - 12 minutes and you'll want to carefully turn your chicken over about half way through the cooking time.
Sauce For The Chicken Fingers
1. One Fourth Cup Mayonnaise.
2. One Fourth Cup Ketchup.
3. Four Tablespoons Pickle Relish.
Put all the ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Serve with your chicken fingers.
If you like chicken you'll love these delicious coconut chicken fingers. If you want to you can make one or more of the above sauces to serve with your coconut chicken fingers.
You can if you wish make your chicken fingers out of chicken breast but the chicken thighs have a lot more flavor than chicken breasts.
