Vine Ripe Tomato Salad

The Cooking Corner With Ariel and Noel *01

Vine Ripe Tomato Salad

Ariel: Today, we’re going to make a healthy salad dish, I call Vine Ripe Tomato Salad.

Noel: With Bacon!

Ariel: No Noel, no bacon.

Noel: Then how can you call it healthy.

Ariel: Just pay attention.

Noel: This segment is called the cooking corner with Ariel and Noel, it doesn’t say Ariel and only paying attention, Noel.

Ariel: You know cousin, you’re going to hell.

Noel: I think I was there in my past life. Remember, I was waiting for you. And when you finally got there I called you. Hey Ariel, welcome to hell, it’s not even that hot down here. And you said I know, now I gotta return these shorts I bought.

Ariel: Vine Ripe Tomato Salad!

Noel: Oh I’m sorry, go on..:)

Ariel: You’ll need 5lbs vine ripe tomatoes: 1/4 cup of red wine vinegar, 3 -T of olive oil. 5 cloves crushed garlic, 2 tsp. Garlic powder, 1 tsp fresh black pepper. 1 tsp. Adobo pepper, 1 tsp. Adobo pepper seasoning, ½ tsp. Basil, ½ tsp. Oregano, ½ tsp of paprika.

Noel: Ariel that looks like a lot of work.. You should put beacon in it as a reward for all the hard working going into making this Vine Ripe Tomato Salad.

Ariel: No reward! I mean the reward is the healthy meal...

Noel: And the bad breath with all that garlic..

Ariel: Moving on! Cut up all the tomatoes, quartering them and remembering to cut off the tops so no green will be used. Put them in a large stainless steel bowl. Then, add oil and vinegar, tossing gently. Add crushed garlic mix. Cover with plastic wrap and set on kitchen counter for an hour. This will give the tomato mixture time to settle and release all of the flavor.

Noel: It will give you a chance to go to the store and buy some real food..

Ariel: Don’t listen to him.. He’s a nut-job.. Okay back to the recipe! Refrigerate and transfer to small containers. Sharing with your friends is the best part.

Noel: Yeah right, I share this with my friends and they’ll slap me around with it.

Ariel: So readers... Ignore my partner and enjoy your Tomato Salad

Good Morning Frank, I absolutely loved this hub :) I was not in a very good mood but thanks to you that has now changed. Adorable children. Is one of them yours?

Hahahaha! What a creative way to share a recipe!! Although that does sound like a lot of garlic, and I must agree with Noel about throwing in some bacon (:-)), but that was one entertaining hub!!!

Oh I love this. The banter back and forth was gut busting especially with the image of the adorable little darlings in my head. I'm going to have to try this. Frank, you should write a book of recipes from these guys. They are hilarious!
