The Sweetest Sweet Potatoes
Sweet Potatoes Casserole
Simple Sweet Potatoes
This is such a simple recipe you are going to laugh. Yet it is another one of those foods I have to cook for the holidays for my family which I do not do not touch. I think you can only really call yourself a cook when you master cooking foods you would never eat yourself. Honestly, I have never even tried this one. But everyone loves it with the Thanksgiving Ham so if you fix the Ham you might as well make the sweet potatoes.
In the South when someone loses a loved one we prepare and send them a meal. Ham and sweet potatoes is that meal I always send. These are simple, realtively inexpensive and fantastic to eat or so I am told.
- 2 cans of sweet potatoes any brand. If you are adventurous you could try real sweet potatoes but I always use the cans of potatoes.
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1 can of pineapple chunks
- 1 bag of mini marshmallows.
Preparing and Cooking
I put the sweet potatoes in a Pyrex dish. I add the brown sugar and mix without breaking the potatoes. I add the pineapple and then I add the marshmallows on top. I cook on 375 until the marshmallows are melted. It is the perfect dish every time atleast according to those who eat it. Serve right out of the oven. Serve warm.
This dish is simple quick and relatively inexpensive.
