Starbucks Menu and Drink Guide

The thing is that a lot of people always get the same thing at Starbucks every time they go. But honestly, THERE'S SO MUCH TO TRY. The following is a list of things that you have to try at least once in your life, broaden your horizons and what not. Although Starbucks is known for its coffee, this guide also includes non-caffeinated drinks, bakery items and teas that are the top in each of their respective categories.

Passion Tea Lemonade: This drink is refreshing, cool, lemony, and still passionate. Its really sour, and fruity and honestly its summer in a cup.

Chai Tea Latte: A Chai Latte is one of Starbucks's most popular drinks. It is a Latte, meaning its made with steamed milk, and it tastes sweet and cinnamony. When it's hot, it's made with spices, including nutmeg and ginger, so its extremely warming. You can also get dirty Chais, which are Chai lattes with a shot in them. You can also get what's called a Dirty Hipster, a drink on the Starbucks secret menu, that's really good.

Vanilla Roobios Tea: This tea is a blend of peach and vanilla. It tastes absolutely amazing and I recommend getting the Vanilla Rooibos Latte for something really good. Its warm and frothy and really good if you like chamomile and other vanilla teas.

Green Tea Frappuccino: You either love this or you hate it. If you like Green Tea, you'll love it. It's green tea mixed with cream and milk all put in a mix of blended ice. Extremely refreshing and good for you, You can get some natural caffeine without the yellow coffee-stained teeth.

Drinks That Have Coffee

Javachip Frap: This is definitely THE frap if any that you should try. About everyone I know who has drank one, likes it. It a cool, creamy, chocolaty frap with little peaces of chocolate blended into it. It's a ton of calories, but if its a special occasion, its totally worth it

White Chocolate Mocha: This drink is super sweet and really good. If you like white chocolate, you will love this. Its a coffee latte that is sweet but with a hint of chocolate. Its also really good if you ask for an extra pump of cinnamon dolce in it or an extra pump of toffee nut.

Caramel Macchiato: This is the favorite drink of about half the people I know. This drink is made with steamed milk, espresso, and caramel. Its delicious, especially warm, and can be the perfect drink on a snowy day. However, it's very refreshing cold too. The Macchiato is a moderate amount of calories because its not a caramel latte, its a vanilla latte with caramel drizzle, a lot healthier, but still tasty.

Strawberries and Creme Frappuccino

Non-Caffeinated Drinks

Strawberries and Creme Frap: This frappuccino is the usual blended ice with a creamy non-caffein base, and a dash of strawberry flavor. Instead of being a heavy mix of fruits like a smoothie, its a creamy just strawberry taste. Its the perfect thing to have in the summer, its a beautiful frosty pink, and I have to say its the perfect strawberry un-smoothie.

Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate: This may seem kind of weird because its both salt and sweet, but lately the salted caramel flavor has become popular at a lot of places. Its a hot chocolate, that's sweetened by caramel, but is then given an extra little kick by salt. It's absolutely the most unique and amazing flavor that I've ever tasted. Salted Caramel is seasonal, only available in the fall.

Chocolate Smoothie: The Smoothie uses a banana for a base and has chocolate added. This drink is not only one of the healthiest, most proteinful choices, but it also is delicious. It has really little fat and is refreshing. It's not as much sweet chocolate as it is a chocolate taste added to a sweet banana taste.

Orange Mango Smoothie: This drink has less protein than the chocolate smoothie, but is much less calories. It has a banana base, and a very refreshing and fruity orange/mango flavor added. It's delicious, cool, and especially savory in the summer. It is one of the healthiest drinks on the whole menu.

Rocky Road Cake Pop

Red Velvet Whoopie Pie: This is two red velvet pieces of cake, chocolaty in taste. Between the two pieces is a light frothy filling, made with cream cheese. So it is the classic red velvet and cream cheese combination, but in a lower calorie package.

Salted Caramel Square: This is absolutely amazing, if you like the salted caramel drinks, this is just as good if not better. If you want to try salted caramel without getting the five dollar drink, get this bakery item since its cheaper. If you like it, you'll love the drink. This is also seasonal, available in the fall.

Banana Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake: This is a good breakfast item. It is a moist cake dotted with soft chocolate chips. It has a top that is crusted with more chocolate and nuts, and has an overall moist banana bread with a kick flavor.

Cake-pops: These are adorable. They're like little mini cakes on popsicle sticks. They are moister than cakes, and a lot more delicious than any piece of cake I've ever had. They come in flavors of Birthday Cake, Rocky Road, Lemon Cake, and Salted Caramel.

I loved reading your work, but being from New England of course I am a Dunkin Donut guy. We pretty much don't have Starbucks here - although there are a few kiosks in the Stop n Shop supermarkets. Don't ask me why the Northeast has a love affair with DD - The coffee is weak and overpriced, the donuts are stale, and the drive thru lines stretch around the store likes ribbons on a Christmas present.

Haha, thanks Bill. What a coincidence, I'm also from New England.

I live in Boston, so especially in Downtown, and more heavily populated areas, there are Starbuckses everywhere. Perhaps in the future they will spread to all of New England. I know when I went for vacation to Cape Cod, I had to drive for miles to find one, and it was... in a Stop N Shop.

If you liked this hub, I have a million more on Starbucks, although, they may not apply...

My mouth is watering.... I love Starbucks. I usually just get a good old plain cup of coffee. However, on rainy nights I like to get the Carmel Apple Cider and on hot days Green Tea Frap. with raspberry.

You nailed it hubsy!! I live smack in the middle of Cape Cod where the few Starbucks are hidden in the Stop n Shops. There is one in Dennis, and I think Orleans and Harwich have one.

Within 5 miles of my cottage, there are no less than five Dunkin Donuts ! ! ! ! ! ! I am a food demonstrator and I have done several demos for Starbucks blonde and the mild flavors. The regular Starbucks people said they were too weak and the Dunkin people said they were too strong!!! There's no middle ground on Starbucks. You either love it or hate it. The Dunkin people say Starbucks burns their coffee and the Starbucks people say that Dunkin coffee is so weak it seems like they reuse the beans!!!!!

Wow, I did not know all that. I do know a lot of people who say Dunkin is weak. And I know many people who say Starbucks is too strong, I don't know though, when I get lattes at Dunkin, they're super super sweet and I feel like I'm just drinking sugar. That's so cool that you're a food demonstrator though...

Ooo, wow, didn't know about these and they look delicious! I might be starting at the very first Starbucks I've seen in person in a couple weeks. Very nervous, but yay free drinks! Can't wait to try these, assuming I don't get fired for being horrible first haha.

Wish me luck ;; So worried I'll be bad at it.

I love your recommendations here! I work at Starbucks, and these are definitely some of the popular choices. Unfortunately, we no longer carry the Vanilla Rooibos tea. It was so unique and I'm disappointed there's nothing like it.
